Blogs
Between Two Worlds
Between Two Worlds: A Mix of Theology, Philosophy, Politics, and Culture is a hard blog to define because it has a bit of everything: articles on theology, politics, current events, and adoption; book and movie reviews; interviews with Christian leaders; announcements of conferences; links to recorded sermons and conference sessions; and even the occasional YouTube video. Blogger Justin Taylor, along with several other contributors, scours the Internet for these posts and compiles them all in one convenient place so that the typical, busy person has quick access to an amazing array of edifying, thought-provoking information. Taylor--associate publisher at Crossway, project director for the ESV Study Bible, co-editor with John Piper of several books, adoptive father--is especially suited to run such a blog. As a new adoptive mother, I've found the articles on adoption helpful and inspiring. As a bibliophile, I've benefited from his book reviews and recommendations. As a daughter and sister of pastors, I've enjoyed the posts that help me understand what in the world my dad and brothers are talking about when they discuss the fine points of theology or the current trends in Christian circles. As a Christian, I've profited from thought-provoking articles on what the Bible has to say about many areas of everyday life.

Worship Matters

Al Mohler Blog
Al Mohler is the President of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, a well-known author, a radio host, and a leading cultural commentator. Time Magazine called him the "reigning intellectual of the evangelical movement in the U.S." All of that said, what makes this site such a valuable resource is the spiritual wisdom and Christ-centered view that Al Mohler lends to today’s most pressing cultural issues. Mohler highlights the ethical, social, political, and religious trends that impact the culture of the church today. He does all the work and then gives you the details necessary to engage current issues with a biblical worldview. Perusing this blog will keep you informed and direct you to the issues that demand your attention. Al Mohler is a blessing to the church by preparing us to always be ready to give an answer and equipping us to contend for the truth.

ESV Blog
The ESV blog is designed to “Keep you up-to-date with the happenings of the English Standard Version Bible” through articles, reading recommendations, and various technological provisions and benefits for the student of the ESV. The ESV blog is an excellent resource that fosters study and growth in God’s most holy Word. As a local Church, we highly recommend and use the English Standard Version because of its ability to capture the heart of the biblical text through a sound translation philosophy of “word-for-word” correspondence, while also maintaining a high level of readability that provides clarity to linguistic barriers between literary English and the original languages.

Resurgence
The Resurgence Blog is a resource ministry of Mars Hill Church in Seattle.  It seeks to provide resources that are both “Biblically faithful” in theology as well as “culturally accessible” in mission.  To be “missional” with one’s theology means to take the Bible and apply it accurately, creatively, and discerningly to one’s cultural setting.  This takes a great deal of work though; therefore, the contributors want to help you.  Consequently, the articles, ideas, and concepts presented in the blog are directed towards this end of putting “feet” to ones beliefs so as to help pastors and laymen reach their immediate (as well as global) communities, in meaningful ways, with the gospel.

Girl Talk
Girl Talk blog is a fun, gracious, humble, sound, and godly reminder of what it means to be a woman seeking the glory of God in all that God has called her to do. The reminder comes in many forms from, words of encouragement in godliness, admonishments in the way of parenting, articles on a vast array of topics and interests, all the way to the “Friday Funnies” just for laughs. Girl Talk is an exciting and encouraging blog for women who desire to be challenged and uplifted by other women in their pursuit of godly femininity.
